Here are some pictures and videos taken on Day 3 of our ski trip.

After a successful trip to Sierra Nevada we are now about to make our way home. Could parents please ensure they are at school at the time shown on their letter. If any times change, you will be informed.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all staff, monitors and children involved in this trip. Thanks to all of you, it has been a trip to remember and shows how fantastic pupils of St George's are.

Please continue to look at the blog over the next week as i will continue to add transfers many pictures from this trip.

Thanks again,
M Henderson

Due to poor weather conditions on the slopes, we have decided not to take pupils back up the slopes this afternoon. Therefore we are just giving our equipment back and then will go to the hotel to keep warm and have our lunch.

This morning it is snowing but it is not too bad so we are continuing as normal.

Due to busses getting up and down the mountain in this weather, we have made slight changes to the time we descent from the mountain to ensure all pupils leave in plenty of time and arrived safety back at their school.

more updates to come later.

This morning, all pupils are very tired following their party last night but are getting up and packing ready to leave.

After breakfast, we will make our way to the plaza for the last time and begin our final day of skiing.

After getting back from the slopes, we all had a shower and put on our disco clothes and waited for dinner. Once we had all finished our food, we walked a short distance to the disco! The disco had lots of lights (including a light up dance floor!), music, soft drinks and party hats/wigs. We danced to the music and played lots of games in the club.

We have just arrived back at the hotel and going to bed. Tomorrow we have our final day of skiing and then make our way back to our homes! We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow evening.

Photos coming soon

Due to having such a fantastic time here with the children, we have taken lots of photos from all the groups on several cameras. Unfortunately, there is not enough hours in the day to upload them all onto the blog instantly. Per day, there has been over 100 pictures/videos and this can take up to 5 hours to upload.

Please do not worry if your child is not in the photos you can see on the blog. I am continuing to upload as many as I can here but will continue to do so when I get back from the trip. I will upload all of the photos eventually and message you once this has been completed.

Many thanks for your cooperation and patience.

After lunch we continued with our skiing. Our monitors took us up the slopes and despite the change of weather near the end, all pupils finished the day safely.

This morning we continued to perfect our skiing skills with the instructors. We re-evaluated the groups to suit the childrens ability and all pupils enjoyed the morning. we are just about to have our lunch before returning to the slopes

After a fully day of activities yesterday, pupils seem a little less willing to get up this morning but all made it in time for breakfast. Now pupils know the routine, we are expecting to get on the mountain quicker this morning and utilise the time we have with the instructors.

Make sure you check the blog this evening or tomorrow morning for all the pictures and information from Day 3 at Sierra Nevada.

After getting changed out of our ski clothes, we went upstairs to the dining room and had our dinner. Once again, there was an excellent choice of food and all pupils left feeling suitably full.

After dinner, the monitors played a range games with the children before tucking up into bed.

Once we had got back up to the top of the mountain, we collected our skis and continued our day of skiing. Because we were all doing so well, we decided to stay on the slopes a little later than first thought. After a full day on the windy (but sunny) slopes, it was time to head back down and leave our equipment in the lockers.

We are just about to head back to the hotel, have a shower and put some warm clothes on and relax before our dinner. Later on this evening, we will have group activities and then go to bed.

Pictures to follow shortly

We have all had a nice rest and some food in our picnic lunch and now we are heading back to the slopes.

This morning we got the bus down to the plaza and went up the mountain. We have been with the ski instructors and practised skiing so they could put us into groups. We have now stopped for some lunch and will continue this afternoon.

We are all up early this morning and ready to have our breakfast. There is lots of food available on our buffet breakfast such as: bread, cheese, pastries, cereal, juice and more! All pupil have been told to eat plenty ready for a day on the slopes

We all safely arrived in Sierra Nevada between 5-6 pm and checked into our rooms. All pupils are happy with their rooms and sharing with people from their schools. Afterwards, we headed out to collect our ski equipment but arriving on a Sunday afternoon comes with some difficulties.

As some of you may know, many people leave Sierra Nevada on a Sunday and the roads were full of stationary cars. Unfortunately, there was no way of getting the bus down to the plaza (unless we waited for a few hours!), so we made the decision to walk down. Our ski monitors were excellent and changed their plans to ensure we were all safe. They provided us a safe path to the plaza, then once all pupils had been given their equipment, they kept all of the equipment in the plaza so we didn't have to carry them far. With the roads still blocked, we walked back up to find our ski boots at the top!

After a tiring journey, we had a buffet style dinner in the dining room followed by a small talk from staff and then went to bed! All pupils are safely tucked up in bed and awaiting a day of skiing tomorrow.

Please have a look at the pictures/video below. Please note, if you do not see your child on these photos, do not worry. There are a lot of pupils here and there is no way we can have all pupils on all of the photos. I will try to update the blog as soon as I can tomorrow, but as i'm sure you can appreciate, I must make sure the pupils are seen to first.
